Regional management: Conversion of military areas (RMK)

The region Flensburg/Schleswig is in comparison with other regions particular affected by closing of barracks of the German Federal Armed Forces. Strongly concerned are the locations in Kappeln, Tarp and Eggebek as well as the circle district Schleswig Flensburg, which communities of the circle decided and with participation of the country Schleswig-Holstein to promote the regional management conversion under the responsibility of the WiREG for three years. Emphasis of the work of the RMK is the admission to the buildings and property (11 real estate on 9 locations), the support of sales, the search for investors and/or financial partners and the structure and the maintenance of a network.

Due to the past successful work the RMK is uniquely extended by a three-years period up to 14.09.2011. Emphasis of the future work will be the conversion of the existing areas and the supplementing search for further investors and/or financial partners.
